Oatmeal

Oatmeal with Raspberries, Banans and Mango.

Zutaten für eine Portion

1 kleine Banane

Warum sollte man Hafer essen?

Oeatmeal with raw coca, cocoa nibs and cashew nuts.
My ABSOLUTE favorite breakfast is oatmeal. I started about nine months ago eating Oatmeal almost daily. I like having Breakfast in a restaurant but I am always looking forward to my beloved Oatmeal al home. In addition Oatmeal is the healthiest breakfast you can eat, it provides a great base for the whole day. I give you my basic recipe, you can combine it however you want. I eat it mostly with water, that's the fastest option and I can also make it at work / uni. Among the photos are a few variations that taste me very well.

Ingredients for one serving

1 small banana
3 Tablespoon (ca. 30g) oatmeal (or spelled flakes, or buckwheat flakes)
80ml liquid (water, milk, soy milk, ...)
(i don't use any sweetener but you can also add a bit honey, agave sirup, sugar,...)

Oatmeal mit Zitronensaft und Mohn. Klingt vielleicht etwas eigen, schmeckt aber supergut.
Oatmeal with lemon juice and poppy seeds. Maybe this sounds a bit strange to you but give it a try, it is amazing!

Prepared with water:

Mix the mashed banana  with oatmeal. Cover with boiling water and let stand briefly.

Preparation of milk:

Again,  mix the mash banana  with the oatmeal. Add the milk and bring to boil (or put it in the microwave for about 2 minutes)

Why should you eat oats?

About oats I could spend hours talking / writing, because it is a real "super food". There is virtually nothing healthier than oats for breakfast.
Even a small amounts of oats provides a lot of vitality and nutrients:
Biotin promotes healthy nails, hair and skin.
Vitamin B1 and B6: no other grains, providing more B1 than oats. B1 and B6 are called "nerve vitamins" and cares for a balanced psyche. A lack of B1 and 6 can lead to sleep problems and fatigue. B6 also takes care of the serotonin production and is involved in the formation of hemoglobin.
In addition, oats contains a lot of iron, magnesium, silicon and fiber.
